8 Priciest OC Zip Codes
Living in the coveted OC costs a pretty penny. As more and more people flock to our beautiful coast for a slice of California life, prices continue to soar upwards. Of the top three states, California came in first followed by New York and Florida. While Northern California and Los Angeles zips did beat out Orange County, we did see eight OC zip codes in the top 100 most expensive based on 2017 home sales.
The priciest OC zip code was Newport Coast at No. 12 with a median sales price of $2,950,000 followed by 92661 and 92662 (Newport Beach zips) at No. 16 and 23 with average sales prices of $2,800,000 and $2,575,000 respectively.
At No. 36 was Corona del Mar with a median sales price of $2,100,000 and No. 51 was Laguna Beach with $1,765,000. Sunset Beach took No. 57 with a median of $1,712,500 followed by a few more Newport Beach zips, 92660 and 92663, just behind at $1,685,000 and $1,597,500.
For those of you looking to live in this glorious place of perpetual sunshine and an average temp of 70 degrees, it comes at a cost, but is a worthy investment. Property appreciation along the Orange County coast is one of the highest in California and in the nation.
